As a programmer, I need to copy and paste different info quite often, and I simply can’t copy, change window, then paste, change window back, then repeat, because, what if I need to do this 3 times to copy and paste data I’m entering in a form for example? Now multiply that for maybe 5 similar copy-pasting small tasks I’m doing daily. So I need a program that helps me to do this in only 2 steps (copy all, paste all) and not just limited to text, but also images and files.
Also, as part of my personal commitment to constantly improve my productivity, I need a software that does this and I chose Ditto, a simple, lightweight but robust program for multiple copy-paste text, images and files
What is Ditto Clipboard?
Ditto is an extension to the standard windows clipboard. It saves each item placed on the clipboard allowing you access to any of those items at a later time. Ditto allows you to save any type of information that can be put on the clipboard, text, images, html, custom formats, etc..
Now main program features:
- Easy to use interface
- Search and paste previous copy entries
- Keep multiple computer’s clipboards in sync
- Data is encrypted when sent over the network
- Accessed from tray icon or global hot key
- Select entry by double click, enter key or drag drop
- Paste into any window that accepts standard copy/paste entries
- Display thumbnail of copied images in list
- Full Unicode support (display foreign characters)
- UTF-8 support for language files (create language files in any language)
Plus, Ditto is open-sourced, so it’s free to use 🙂
How does it looks like
How to use it
